Booking and Confirmation

A booking is confirmed once we've agreed on the date, time, format, group size, and fee, and you've received written confirmation from us by email.

Each program is tailored to your group, so the details in your confirmation (including your quote) are what apply to your booking. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date they're sent.

Please let us know about any changes to group size, age range, or location as early as possible, since these can affect the program plan and the fee.

Fees and Payment

All prices are in Canadian dollars.

Rates are per session and per group, not per person, and are based on groups of up to 30 participants. Larger groups can be split into multiple sessions.

We invoice schools directly, and we also accept e-transfer, credit card, and cheque.

Payment is due within 30 days of the session date.

Travel outside of [service area, e.g. the Greater Toronto Area] may include an additional travel fee. Any travel fee will be included in your quote before you book, never added afterwards.

All art and journaling materials are included in the session fee.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that school schedules can change. Because we reserve dates, plan each session around your group, and prepare materials in advance, the following cancellation terms apply:

Cancellations made more than 10 business days before the session: no charge.

Cancellations made 3 to 10 business days before the session: 50% of the session fee applies (or a 50% refund, if the session has already been paid for).

Cancellations made within 2 business days of the session: the full session fee applies and is non-refundable.

All cancellations must be made in writing by email to [email address]. The date we receive your email is the date used for the cancellation.

For multi-week programs, these terms apply to each individual session in the program.

Exceptions

These terms do not apply to cancellations caused by emergencies beyond the school's control, including:

• Snow days or extreme weather closures

• Emergency building closures (such as fire, flood, or power outage)

• Lockdowns or safety incidents

• Board-wide closures

In these cases, there's no cancellation fee, and we'll work with you to find a new date.

Rescheduling

If you need to move your session, please get in touch as early as possible. We'll do our best to find a new date that works, subject to availability.

If We Need to Cancel

If Creative Restart needs to cancel a session because of illness or an emergency, we'll let you know as soon as possible and offer a new date at no additional cost. If a new date doesn't work for you, any amount already paid for that session will be refunded in full.

During the Session

Supervision

For workshops, a teacher or staff member must be present for the full session to help support the group, and remains responsible for student supervision, behaviour, and any school-specific policies or safety procedures.

For weekly classes, we're happy to lead the session on our own. Schools remain responsible for their own supervision policies and safety procedures, so if your school requires a staff member to be in the room, just let us know.

Space and Setup

Please provide a space suited to the session format, with enough room for movement and a surface for art or journaling work. We'll share any specific setup needs when your booking is confirmed.

Participation

Every activity is invitational. Participants are always welcome to take part quietly, modify a movement, or sit out an activity, and sharing is never required.

Please let us know in advance about any accessibility needs, allergies to art materials, or physical limitations in the group, so we can plan accordingly. We're happy to adapt activities wherever we can.
